All researchers at Iowa State University have access to the equipment in our facility and are billed at the internal rate. Other reseachers in Iowa (academic or industrial) may submit samples to our facility for analysis using most of the instrumentation we have available, and are billed at the external rate. Researchers outside of Iowa normally may not submit samples unless thay are collaborating with an ISU researcher, or they can show that the services they are requesting are not available from a commercial lab.
